The EdUnify Task Force maintains a reporting database, which is a copy of the production EdUnify. This copy is refreshed form production nightly at 12:30 am UTC. To request access, send e-mail to Michael Sessa (michael dot sessa at pesc dot org). The purpose of the reporting database is to facilitate collaboration on web service curation and EdUnify web application analysis, design, and development. Users with access to the database must abide by the terms of conditions EdUnify and the policies of PESC and EdUnify system administrators. Data may only be viewed and used for authorized PESC EdUnify purposes.
Accessing the Reporting Database
Request access from Michael Sessa and indicated above. Once approved, you will receive a request form EdUnify administrators to provide an SSH public key (see instructions - just example instructions, you may need to search for instructions for your platform and software). Once you provide an SSH public key, you will be able to connect to EdUnify's non-production database server (vm1.edunify.pesc.org) and establish an ssh tunnel for MySQL connections (see instructions - again, just example instructions). You will also receive a MySQL database user name and initial password. The name of the reporting database is 'edunify_report_prod'.
